NHYTE was conceived and implemented with the aim to develop concepts and methodologies guaranteeing the realization of innovative and green integrated aero-structures produced by a new recyclable hybrid thermoplastic composite material with multifunctional capabilities by out of autoclave continuous automated technologies.

The development and validation of the improved thermoplastic prepreg material will return reduced weight and consequently reduced fuel consumptions and emissions of an aircraft as well as reduced full life cycle cost (recycling of scrap materials).
Manufacturing process simplification and improved cycle times from the increased use of automation and application of out of autoclave processes.
Reduced manufacturing and maintenance costs through the development of highly integrated composite structures, as well as reduced design and certification costs through the creation and application of manufacturing oriented numerical tools.
Increased structural efficiency which is equivalent to toughness improvement (multilayer material) and better impact damage performance.
