Held at INSA’s headquarters in Lyon, France from March 13th to March 15th 2019, Euromech Colloquium 602 : "Composite manufacturing processes. Analyses, modelling and simulations" brought together the wider community of scientists and experts working on composite materials. The conference focused on composite materials with continuous fibers for structural parts. The analysis of forming of the reinforcement without resin (dry preform) and with non-hardened resin (prepreg) was considered as well as thermomechanics and consolidation of the composite during prepreg forming.
Our French colleagues from Université Bretagne Sud-IRDL/Compositic attended the conference. There O. Baho presented “Modelling of thermal degradation of PEI-CF/PEEK hybrid thermoplastic composites manufactured by laser-assisted automated-tape-placement”, covering the development and preliminary results of the NHYTE project.
