In order to explore the mechanical characterization of the new material a testing campaign is foreseen based on a numerical-experimental approach. As a first step the hybrid prepreg material will be fabricated by the prototype plant developed through the work performed in WP1. Then panels will be produced by in-situ consolidation automated fiber placement process as well as by hand layup and low cost autoclave process (previously developed in WP3). Part of the laminates will be used for the parallel characterization of the manufacturing processes and the laminate’s behavior through several mechanical and virtual tests while in the end a test results analysis will be also performed.
