The overall objective of this WP is to produce a first technology validation and derive the related benefit assessment by manufacturing mid-size subcomponents, both flat un-stiffened and stiffened composite panels, which will be thoroughly investigated. The mid-size subcomponents will be fabricated by the new hybrid thermoplastic material developed in WP3, following the design requirements provided in WP2. The performance and quality of the parts produced will be evaluated by structural tests, including their damage tolerance behaviour during fatigue loading tests by the SHM system developed in WP2.
